Here we go again
Pollan on how we should eat.
Warren Belasco, author of Appetite for Change: How the Counterculture Took on the Food Industry. “Very sad to see how low Pollan has fallen. What nonsense!” ASFS list.

Rachel. I don’t think the link with Warren Belasco goes to the right place, unless I have misunderstood this. It leads to the NYT site and info about a book by Anne Mendelson.
regards Paul
Paul, the link is to a review of Warren’s latest book by Anne Mendelson. I did not find a bio so this is to fill in background.
The more I see this kind of PR driven writing and tactics from Pollan and his constant companion in the press, Waters, I think they should have a combined press name like Pitt and Jolie’s “Brangelina”.
Pollanaters?
Waterollan?
Great idea Ji-Young!
The article is a prime example of recycling. Those points have appeared all over the media, verbatim. Enough already.
I don’t really understand Pollan I must confess. His three examples for traditional cultures are the Masai (Maasai), Inuits and Native Americans. As far as I can determine these are peoples that don’t have long life expectancies (or didn’t until they were exposed to modern medicine, clean water, new diets).
Is this deliberate, simply stupid or have I missed something?
Good question.
